Frottage on transparent paper
Variable Dimensions

Taking the texture of a place in a 1:1 scale on semi-transparent paper that is usually used by architects in the design process using the means of frottage, means to activate a haptic perception of space. The result is an X-radiograph of the place.

In doing so, the sheet was transformed into a map of the place; The Frottage on the construction area shows the surfaces of the different materials, which are the technical instruments of the contemporary society, are now visible on the paper. The instruments mark the time between demolition and construction, they are located by the frottage in some way. Thus the frottage is functioning as an inventory of the current only temporarily existing state of being. This interim status appears on the paper as a project, a reality.
