Only Fragments of the Original mill remain, this drawing is an attempt to rebuild the mill from those traces.
It is a working drawing at a small scale without hard lines, it is imperfect and made in soft leads.
It is one of a number that were made to understand the workings of a machine and the principles that govern it.
