Documenting Architectural Reality / Dayle Fullerton

2012
Photographs printed on watercolour paper

This series of images is an investigation into how a completed building can be documented to understand its feel and atmosphere.

It aims to capture the buildings ‘essence’ rather than its form. Rather than documenting the iconic staircase perspective; these images document the Lyric Theatre in Belfast by O’Donnell & Tuomey Architects to describe how the user interacts on an intimate level – describing the reality of the building on a ‘real’ scale.
